RUN BY THE RULES

“And also if anyone competes in athletics, he is not crowned unless he competes according to the rules.” --- 2 Timothy 2:5


It is not that the Word of God does not work but people refuse (through laziness) to walk by (and live in) the Word! It is impossible to act on the Word of God and not see result. It constantly and consistently delivers. THE ENTIRETY OF HIS WORD IS TRUTH (Psalm 119: 160) which means that the sum of all the instructions and precepts stated therein are nothing but Truth. No wonder, in John 6:63, He says, “The Words that I speak to you are Spirit and Life”. There is power and authority in the Word of God and until these words become “Life” within an individual, there exists no quickening in such life. That is why Apostle Paul says in Romans 8:11, “But if the Spirit of Him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken (bring life to) your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwells in you.” [EMPH ADDED]. This is how you mortify the deeds of the flesh.

Until you catch the revelation (rhema) hidden in the word of life (logos), you are then not yet qualified to become a candidate of its fruits. You need to understand that the letter kills but the Spirit gives life (2 Cor 3:6). The Word of God only responds to those who have access by revelation (those who are in possession of the keys). It is more than reading and cramming scriptures. That is why Jesus said to Peter, “And I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven, and whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven.” ---- Matthew 16:19. I wish this was a sermon; I can stay on this point for days!

All that you need in life pertaining to life and godliness are contained in the scriptures but you need to become a student of the living word (not of theology) in other to access the deep things that have been prepared for you before the foundations of the earth (1 Cor 2:9). How far you go or the degree of your achievement will be based on the content of Word that is embedded on the inside of you! The Psalmist clearly states that: “The entrance of your Word gives light; it gives understanding to the simple” –Psalms 119:130. The amount of light (glory) you reflect will be as a result of the Word level within you. You can (and will) never shine beyond the level of Word within you! You can’t outshine her. Ignorance is not an excuse. That you don’t know it has been written is not a criterion to exclude you to singly be blessed by God. He won’t do anything outside of His Word.

You are already made complete in Him at creation. All that is required of you is to manifest (bring into existence) those things that have been deposited inside you for your profit. Simple! However, this requires an excellent working knowledge of the word of God. Until you begin to see yourself in the truth of the word of God, you will keep running from pillar to post which I’m sure isn’t the design of God for your life. “Abide in Me, and I in you…………for without Me you can do nothing” ---John 15: 4-5. That is powerful! We absolutely can do nothing without Jesus (and His Word).

Since the worlds were framed by the Word of God and upholding all things by the word of His power ( Hebrews 11:3, 1:3), so get back to the Word that created (fashioned, formed, framed, made) you in other for your profit to be evident to all.
