NO MORE A SINNER

Yes, it’s true; you’re no more a sinner from the moment you gave your life to Christ. I mean from the day you accepted Him as your Lord and personal saviour.

Read this: “But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us” --- Romans 5:8

You need to study carefully the above verse to get the revelation within. Basically, the Scripture explains that Christ died for us while we were “once” sinners. This shows that we were sinners before Christ died for us and we couldn’t have remained sinners after His death; since that would have nullified and made the blood of Jesus of no effect. But since that isn’t the case, the underlined statement in the verse above has only one meaning to it; that, we were once sinners before Christ died for us but now we have been made right with Him and we are now the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus. Hallelujah!!!

That is why verse 19 makes it even clearer: “For as by one man’s disobedience many were made sinners, so also by one Man’s obedience many will be made righteous.” You were made sinner through Adam but through Jesus you were reinstated to your original position in God (reconciled) and that is why the verse says many “…many will be made righteous” and in fact, now is the time, after the resurrection of Jesus - we have become the righteousness of God.

I know you still sometimes sin but you’re not regarded as a sinner as long as you truly and genuinely gave your life to Christ! If this is the case, the sins you commit are not sins that you deliberately get yourself into because the body of sin (carnal body) as been done away with and you have been made free from sin. What you are experiencing is a maturity challenge and all you need is to attain a spiritual maturity of sonship by the renewing of your mind and cleansing by the Word of God.

“….How shall we who died to sin live any longer in it? Or do you not know that as many of us as were baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into His death? Therefore we were buried with Him through baptism into death that just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life. For if we have been united together in the likeness of His death, certainly we also shall be in the likeness of His resurrection, knowing this, that our old man was crucified with Him, that the body of sin might be done away with, that we should no longer be slaves of sin. For he who has died has been freed from sin.” --- Romans 6:2-7.

You need to read that again! “How shall we who died to sin live any longer in it?” Absolutely impossible! Let me prove this to you. Please understand that legal claims only have power over a person as long as he is alive. So also is a woman bound by law to her husband as long as he lives; but the moment her husband dies, she is loosed and discharged from the law concerning her husband (Read Romans 7:1-6). So, the same thing is applicable to you. You have now undergone death to sin through the crucified body of Christ and you are no longer married to (slaves of) sin but now you have been delivered from the law of sin and freed from sin, having died to what you were held by. Therefore, there is no way you can be regarded as a sinner before God.

No way! You are the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus.

It is one of the deceits of the devil for you to see yourself as a sinner before God. I have heard many people pray like this, “Lord have mercy upon your servant, a sinner”. That is praying amiss, without the knowledge of the Word of God and God is not committed to answering such ill-conceived prayers. Regardless of the number of times you sin, you must always see yourself as the righteousness of God although this is not a license to sin and don’t misinterpret me that I said you can sin as much as you want. No! You cannot continue in sin that grace may abound. Certainly not! (Romans 6:1-2) However, you need to know as underlined in the Scripture above that you have been freed from sin because you died with Him. You really need that understanding.

From now on, begin to see yourself as the express image of God – created and loved by God for His good purpose. Always thank Him for His grace upon your life through His beloved Son, Jesus Christ. If you can comprehend all you’ve read up to this point, then you will love Him more and even flee from sin by His grace because grace is not a license to sin; rather, it teaches us to deny all ungodliness and worldly lusts and to embrace a sober, righteous and godly life in this present age (Titus 2:11-12).

  1. This blog is a much needed one for every christian as it reveals the hidden word of God and has allowed me to see the tactics of the devil in depriving me of my right as a child of God and know that truly I am transformed into the image of Christ and no longer a sinner but to instead claim my sonship rights in Christ Jesus.

Great blog, keep the good work up and I look forward to more post on this blog.
